Skin tags, moles and seborrheic keratoses are very common, benign skin growths. They can grow almost anywhere on the body but are common where skin creases such as on the eyelids, neck, armpits. Skin tags, once removed, should not come back in the treated area, although you can develop subsequent skin tags on other areas of the body. Removing them does not cause more to grow. At Euro Reflections , we use electrocauterization as a safe and effective method to remove unwanted skin irregularities, such as skin tags, raised brown spots, seborrheic keratoses, and other benign lesions . This non-invasive procedure uses a fine-tipped cautery device to precisely target and remove irregularities by applying controlled heat, which seals the skin and promotes natural healing. How It Works If needed, a topical numbing agent is applied for comfort. The electrocautery device gently removes the irregularity by cauterizing the tissue , minimizing bleeding and reducing the risk of infection. The treated area will form a scab that naturally falls off as your body heals, revealing new, healthy skin underneath. What to Expect Mild redness and temporary scabbing are normal. Healing time can range from a few days to a several weeks, depending on skin type, aftercare and irregularity size. In some cases, additional treatments or complementary methods (such as laser) may be recommended for optimal results.
